Josh Duhamel might just sweep Kristen Bell off her feet — if he can compete with four other determined, love-struck suitors — in the new romantic comedy ‘When in Rome,’ in theaters January 29.
“We knew each other and she was always somebody I hoped I’d be able to work with,” Josh says of his rapport with Kristen. “[This role] is right in line with my personality.”
‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ star Kristen plays Beth, a successful-but-single museum curator in New York who flies out to Rome for her sister’s impulsive wedding. When in Rome, Beth picks up coins from the “fountain of love” — and soon finds a quintet of suitors waiting for her back home! Is it a blessing, or a curse?
Josh leads the pack of possibilities in Kristen’s male harem, but she also has to contend with the likes of self-absorbed male model Dax Shepard, Will Arnett, an Italian Romeo stalking her halfway around the globe, Jon Heder, a not-so-great street magician who mines his talents to try to land Beth, and older man “sausage king” Danny DeVito!
