Josh Duhamel was best known for his television roles in All My Children and Las Vegas before making his breakthrough big screen in Transformers.Duhamel attended Minot State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with the intention of going on to dental school.However a modelling career followed and in 1997 he was named Male Model of the Year, with Ashton Kutcher coming second.He soon left his modelling days behind him to pursue a career in acting. His break came in 1999 when he landed a role in ABC’s All My Children.Duhamel’s character of Leo du Pres and Greenlee Smythe du Pres (Rebecca Budig) brought the show renewed success as well as media attention.The actor earned critical acclaim for the role and went on to win a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor. He left the show in 2002 to work on other projects joining NBC’s primetime show Las Vegas.
