Josh Duhamel, Ernie Hudson Suit Up For ‘The Wrong Stuff’

Posted by Staff in Mar 01,2015 with No Comments

Josh Duhamel and Ernie Hudson, who last worked together opposite Hilary Swank and Loretta Devine in the ensemble drama You’re Not You from eOne, are coming together again in the baseball drama The Wrong Stuff, based on the bestselling memoir by ex-pitcher Bill “Spaceman” Lee and Richard Lally. The film is being directed by Brett Rapkin and produced by Stephen Nemeth, co-produced by Betsy Stahl and executive produced by Ron Shelton (White Men Can’t Jump) and Eric Gagne. Rapkin also penned the script. Shooting is expected to begin next week in Los Angeles.

Set in the 1980s, the film chronicles the downward spiral of Major League pitcher Lee, a hot-tempered, self-serving madman unable to see himself as anything other than a baseball player. Duhamel is cast as the volatile Lee. Hudson will portray Joe, the only black player and first baseman for the all-white, French Canadian Longeuil Senators amateur club. Hudson’s character, an experienced player with 30 years in the sport, is the stabilizing force on the scrappy team.

Duhamel starred in several of the Transformers films and also stars in the CBS crime drama series Battle Creek, which premieres Sunday. Hudson is best known, perhaps, for his turn in the beloved comedy Ghostbusters. [Source]

Actor Josh Duhamel, a Minot native, is the new voice behind North Dakota’s 2014 tourism campaign.

Gov. Jack Dalrymple and tourism Director Sara Otte Coleman announced the campaign Tuesday at Sixteen03 Main Events, a former bakery on Bismarck’s Main Avenue that has been converted into a banquet and meeting center.

Duhamel has a financial interest in the business.

Otte Coleman said the actor agreed to provide the narration for six television ads for $6,600 per spot and did a video promo for the ads from his home in Los Angles that was released Tuesday.

Otte Coleman said this year’s campaign will continue to build on the “Legendary” theme the state has been using for more than a decade.

Arrgh! Josh Duhamel Stars in Jake and the Never Land Pirates

Posted by Staff in Jan 04,2014 with No Comments

Ahoy, matey: Josh Duhamel is teaming up with a band of pirates! The actor (and new dad!) is lending his voice as Captain Flynn in the season three premiere of Disney’s Jake and the Never Land Pirates, airing Friday at 8:30 a.m. EST on the Disney channel.

In the episode, Captain Flynn finds his ship stuck in the sand and enlists the help of Jake and the gang to search for the magical staff that will set him free. But before they find their buried treasure, the pint-size marauders must go up against a pirate mummy (Jack McBrayer).

We have no doubt Axl Jack will get a kick out of hearing his dad’s voice on the hit show one day, but according to Duhamel’s wife Fergie, their 4-month-old baby boy seems to be following in his musical mama’s footsteps.

“He starts kicking and he’s smiling, and he tries to make noise and sing along. It’s amazing. He loves our songs!” Fergie told PEOPLE in November.
