Josh Duhamel to host Kids’ Choice Awards

Posted by Staff in Jan 24,2013 with No Comments

There’s plenty of green slime in Josh Duhamel’s future.

The star of Transformers: Dark of the Moon on Wednesday was named host of Nickelodeon’s 26th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, which will be broadcast from the Galen Center in Los Angeles on March 23.

Duhamel, who starred on the NBC drama Las Vegas, has already been inducted into Nickelodeon’s Arm Fart Hall of Fame and showered in green goo.

The Kids’ Choice Awards honor kids’ favorites in film, music, sports and television by tallying the votes of kids online and via mobile devices. During the show, green slime is routinely dumped on celebrities and winners receive trophies shaped like blimps. [Source]

Josh Duhamel Returning to All My Children

Posted by Staff in Jun 10,2011 with No Comments

Finally, some good news for soap fans!

As viewers continue to come to grips with the unexpected cancellation of All My Children, the long-running ABC soap has announced that a familiar face will return for its final season.

Josh Duhamel, who got his big break in 1999 appearing as con artist Leo du Pres on AMC, is set to reprise his role in an upcoming episode.

“Everyone at All My Children is thrilled and excited to welcome Josh back to Pine Valley,” AMC’s executive producer Julie Carruthers told Us Weekly in a statement late Monday. “The appearance of Leo is sure to be one of the highlights of the season.”

A Pine Valley favorite, Duhamel’s du Pres — part of a soap super-couple with Rebecca Budig’s Greenlee — allegedly died in 2003. When he went off a waterfall trying to save Budig’s character, his body was never recovered, leaving fans to assume he was gone for good.

Duhamel’s air date has yet to be announced.  [Source]

Josh Duhamel, Jamie Kennedy Add Voice Talent To Nickelodeon’s “Fanboy And Chum Chum”

Posted by Staff in Nov 16,2009 with No Comments

Nickelodeon has their fair share of characters with super powers, and even the fairly odd. But Nick’s latest caped twosome are actually more “super fans” than superheroes. “Fanboy & Chum Chum,” which premieres on Nickelodeon November 6th, doesn’t star two superheroes but it does feature some superstar voice talents. Among them are “Ghost Whisperer” star Jamie Kennedy and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” star Josh Duhamel.

Fanboy and Chum Chum are obsessed with all things fantasy and comic books. Armed with their super imaginations, the pair don their tights and then their underwear on top of that before heading out on their daily adventures. In the first episode, Fanboy and Chum Chum welcome wizard school-expellee Kyle, voiced by Kennedy, into their circle.

The CGI-animated show, based on “Random! Cartoons” short “Fanboy,” was created by Eric Robles and is produced by Frederator Studios, who also produces “The Fairly OddParents” for the network. David Hornsby (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadephia”) voices Fanboy, while Nika Futterman (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars”) voices Chum Chum. Kennedy voices wizard friend Kyle, while Duhamel voices comic book store-owner Oz.  Read the rest of this entry »

Josh Duhamel Cast in What’s He Got?

Posted by Staff in Oct 16,2009 with 2 Comments

Disney’s first project under the leadership of newly appointed chairman Rich Ross has been named, and it’s called What’s He Got? According to THR, the studio acquired the film rights to the story from Kevin Bisch, with Transformers star Josh Duhamel already attached to star.

Since What He’s Got? is still a fresh acquisition there aren’t many details surrounding the film’s plot. The only description given from Disney is that it’s considered a “buddy comedy.” The deal for the film was stated to be in the mid to high-six figure range, which isn’t anything to sneeze at considering the economic climate we’re facing. Studios have gotten stingy with their developmental funds, especially over at Universal and Warners.

Andrew Panay is one of the producers on the film, and has several blockbuster comedies under his belt including 2005’s Wedding Crashers. I doubt What’s He Got? will be that much of a raunch fest, but it does make me wonder who else is set to star. They said it’s a buddy comedy, so who’s going to be Duhamel’s partner in crime? Any ideas? [Source]
