Why Josh Duhamel Got “Angry” After Renewing Vows With Fergie

News and rumors

Josh Duhamel wanted to keep his vow renewal ceremony with Fergie hush-hush.

It “was honestly supposed to be our little thing,” he said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Friday.

Even Fergie, 34, didn’t know about it.

“We rented a helicopter,” he said. “The best part … she had no idea what we were going to do.”

He told her to meet him at an undisclosed location at 3 p.m. Jan. 6 (the two wed in Malibu on Jan. 10, 2009). “She said, ‘I have to be dressed up at 3 o’clock in the afternoon?!’” Duhamel, 37, recalled. “And we went off.”

Soon, word leaked that they were at the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara — thanks, Duhamel said, to loose-lipped resort employees.

“They were supposed to keep that quiet and they blabbed it,” he told DeGeneres. “I’m very angry with you Bacara … I’d like a suite for free!”

Still, Duhamel — who denied an Atlanta stripper’s claim that he had an affair — said he’s “proud of what we did and I’m happy. We had a great time.”  [Source]

Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel aren’t very ‘Rome’-antic

News and rumors

You have to feel sorry for Kristen Bell, stuck in something like “When in Rome.” It’s bad enough being the perky, hyper-blond sun around which a dim comedy’s characters revolve. But Bell — not a TV star (the former “Veronica Mars?a>?? is “Gossip Girl’s” offscreen narrator) and not yet a movie star (“Forgetting Sarah Marshall”) — works so hard to help this jackassical valentine fly, her fluttering and fretting seems merely overcaffeinated.

The sweetest thing about the film is how Bell’s leading man, Josh Duhamel, appears to be chivalrously matching her manic energy so that the poor thing isn’t spinning around all by herself.

Bell plays Beth, a Type-A overachiever committed to her job curating exhibits at the Guggenheim. Beth’s real vocation, though — as any awful rom-com requires — is being a full-time lonelyheart, a condition that worsens after she hears an ex is getting hitched, then learns her younger sister is impulsively marrying her Italian boyfriend in Rome.
Tiny dynamo Beth needs to stop working so hard and take cues from her sis, says their smarmy dad (Don Johnson, looking happy just to be seen).  Read full article.
